Manager, Sales Engineering

Greenhouse is a remote-first B2B SaaS company on a mission to make every company great at hiring. We are seeking a hands-on Manager, Sales Engineering to lead and develop the North America Sales Engineering team, provide deal-floor coaching, build scalable systems, and partner cross-functionally to drive outcomes for customers and the business.

Skills

  • Proven Sales Engineering or presales experience in B2B SaaS with complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • Demonstrated people leadership and coaching skills for developing ICs
  • Strong verbal and written communication, value-based storytelling
  • Operational skills to design and scale processes and KPIs
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Comfort making decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to Sales Engineers, including joining calls and supporting live deals.
  • Coach SEs through complex opportunities with consultative techniques, discovery, and value-based storytelling.
  • Manage team performance, KPIs, and pipeline coverage to ensure equitable staffing and target attainment.
  • Build and implement scalable systems, processes, and triage workflows to prioritize inbound requests and demo asks.
  • Evangelize core SE methodologies (e.g., Command of the Message, Tell-Show-Tell) and reinforce best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate risk in active cycles and partner with Sales leadership on win strategies for high-stakes deals.
  • Represent Sales Engineering cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Services; share field insights to influence roadmap and GTM narratives.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, career development, and performance conversations with empathy and clarity.

Education

  • No specific degree required; equivalent experience accepted
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field preferred but not required
