Human Resources Business Partner - Operations

IEM is a mature, full-line manufacturer of custom power distribution systems with global-scale manufacturing capacity. The HR Business Partner – Operations will act as a strategic HR advisor to Operations leaders, driving workforce planning, talent development, employee relations, and performance management to support high-growth manufacturing operations.

  • Coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management
  • Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in manufacturing or operations environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations leaders on workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Lead talent development initiatives including talent reviews, 9-box assessments, and succession planning.
  • Analyze workforce metrics and operational data to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Coach managers on engagement, performance improvement, and career development strategies.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues, investigations, and escalations with confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with HR peers to streamline processes and implement HR best practices.
  • Advise on organizational design and workforce effectiveness to support operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company HR policies.
  • Support operational culture initiatives to drive engagement, retention, and high performance.
  • Participate in HR leadership meetings to align strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MSHR) preferred
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred
